Two step verification was a process put in place to increase security when several flags occur that may put a client’s account at higher risk than normal (ie. signing in from another device, a different city, a different country …etc.) The verification requires a 4 digit pin being sent to the customer either through voice message or text message whereby they can enter the pin and proceed to the secured website.
Two Step Verification was a process that has been implemente on many sites. There was no reinventing the wheel here. I took part in many requirement sessions with BMO stakeholders and project owners to put these initial wireframes together using Balsamiq.
